The Supreme Court of Belize is a handsome building, constructed in 1926, identical to and replacing the previous one that burned down in 1918. It represents the colonial history of the country, built in New Orleans style and is still used as a functional courthouse today. It has filigreed iron stairs, balcony rails and a four-sided clock. The Court building looks out towards the ocean and is opposite Battlefield Park.
