St. Paul’s Cathedral is the Anglican church of Victoria and prominent landmark. The first church stood on the same site and was consecrated in 1859. Over the years the building had many design adjustments. For example, the adding of towers. In 1920 St Paul’s wanted to become a Cathedral. Therefore, in 2001 the structure was completely rebuilt to what we see today. This Cathedral was consecrated in 2004 and is double the size of the original church. Catholicism in the Seychelles makes up around 76% of the total population. Therefore, St. Paul’s Cathedral is a popular place of worship.
