The National Museum of History is in the centre of Victoria, Seychelles. It is housed in Victoria’s restored supreme court from the colonial era(1885. This museum only opened in 2018. Whilst the architecture alone is fascinating, the museum’s exhibitions are also noteworthy. Most of the exhibits can be found downstairs. Here you will discover an informative journey through 300 years of Seychelles history. This is told through model ships, old cannons and other historical artefacts. Upstairs is mainly focused on Creole culture. This displays clothing, music, architecture and agriculture. In addition, a separate building on the south of this museum houses a cafe.
