The Seychelles National Botanical Gardens were created in 1901 by Mr Paul Evenor Rivalz Dupont. The Ministry of Environment is now responsible for these gardens, and there headquarters are located inside it. These gardens are one of Seychelles’ oldest national monuments. Here you will find a variety of mature, exotic plants within five acres of beautifully landscaped tropical gardens. They also are home to rare trees and spices. In addition, giant tortoises from Aldabra can be found here. Some are more than 150 years old. You can spend hours in these botanical gardens exploring all the wonders that it has to offer.
