Bethel Methodist Church is on South Hill, overlooking Sandy Ground. It was built in layered stones with open out shutter windows and double wooden red doors. It is spacious inside with pews, overhead fans and light fixtures. A message tells visitors: ‘The love of Christ constrains us.’ Also on the site is a pre-school and a burial ground. Services begin at 10 am.
Bethel Methodist churches separated from Evangelical Methodist churches following a church trial, new articles of incorporation being filed in Texas on 27 February 1989. They are mainly Wesleyan-Holiness in doctrine. Their churches are to be found all over the world, in America, and places like Bangalore and Barbados
